The Uttar Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training was come into ending of the May, 1958. The first exam of Uttar Pradesh Borad of Technical Education and Trainning was conducted in year of 1960 for diploma level programmes. After tsome years Its name was changed as “Board of Technical Education” in the year 1962.
1962's year, the Board was conducted the exam of around 2500 scholars at 25 different different Centers, in 3 main disciplines viz. Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Uttar Pradesh BTE has been constituted under “U.P. Pravidhic Shiksha Adhiniyam – 1962″.
