Google is the best search engine ever in the world. Today is lunar eclipse. To mark the longest and the darkest lunar eclipse of the century Google has put up an animated and interactive doodle. The lunar eclipse Google doodle shows the various phases of the lunar eclipse that can be accessed through a seek bar. The doodle is also Google's first live doodle and the image refreshed every two minutes to reflect the current stage of the moon in eclipse. As we all know that Google is famous name in the world of Internet, is also giant search engine.

The total lunar eclipse begn at 00:52:30 IST and ended 02:32:42 IST. While the partial eclipse began at 23:52:56 IST and ended at 03:32:15 IST. The eclipse was visible completely in Africa and Central Asia. It was be visible rising over South America, Western Africa and Europe, and seen setting over Eastern Asia, and Australia. The next lunar eclipse to be viewed in India will be in December this year.

Today google set the doodle of lunar eclipse on his search engine home page. Google is showing on the Google homepage for countries where it is already that day. Continuing with the trend to showcase new doodles on search engine’s home page, Google is here with a nice doodle on lunar eclipse. If you happen to miss today’s lunar eclipse, and Google’s doodle of the eclipse, there will be another total lunar eclipse on December 10, 2011, and this one will be visible to those of us in the U.S.
