RIM Launches New Messenger App To Boost Appeal

Research In Motion Ltd hoping to make BlackBerry devices a little more effort to revive flagging sales of the social and spark new interest in their smart phones.

On Thursday, RIM launched a new version of its popular BlackBerry Messenger instant messaging application that allows BlackBerry users to send messages from other programs.

The new software, known as BBM 6, is now available for RIM BlackBerry App World application in the market.
