Earthquake in California 2010

Earthquake in California 2010: The magnitude 7.2 quake was centered near Guadalupe Victoria in Baja California. The USGS reports it’s the largest earthquake to shake the region in 18 years. Baja California Governor José Guadalupe Osuna Millán says that quake’s biggest impact felt in Mexicali. Because of the earthquake power was out.

Powerful, magnitude-7.2 quake strikes along U.S.-Mexico border on April 4, 2010 3:40 pm. After the 9 minutes of the first quake the second was measuring 4.1 magnitudes felt north San Francisco in Santa Rose, California.

Because of the quake private and public hospital was damaged. At least 100 people have been injured and two are dead. One of the dead remains unidentified and the other is 94-year-old Taide Gonzalez, who it seems that was compressed by a fence that collapsed. The governor also warned of damage to major highways leading to Mexicali.
