Mumbai Blasts Toll Rises To 22

Deaths in the 13th July Mumbai serial blasts rose to 22 Saturday With another injury on at the handover of the Sir JJ Hospital here, said officials.

According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Disaster Control Centre, died identified as Sundar Singh, 30.

Injured in the blast at Zaveri Bazar, Sundar Singh was allowed to hospital in serious condition, and breathed his last on Saturday.

A total of 131 persons were injured in three explosions in Zaveri Bazar, Dadar Kabutarkhana Opera House and the 13th the evening of July. Some of them were discharged after treatment. Seventeen people were killed on the spot.

Sundar Singh death follows that critically injured Shirpad Muzappura, 30, who succumbed in the hospital on Friday and Ashok Harkisondas Bhat, 35, who succumbed to his injuries, Sir JJ Hospital here Tuesday.

Last Saturday, was another damaged, Avinash Tanka, 24, last breath Bombay Hospital, followed by Babulal Das, 45, who died Sunday in Saifee Hospital.

Mumbai Blasts: Man Dies After Questioning

Ahmedabad blasts suspects' brother Faiz Afzal Usmani Usmani, died in hospital Sunday after questioning by the Maharashtra ATS Wednesday's serial blasts in Mumbai.

According to reports, Faiz was in Sion hospital after police interrogation, he allegedly became ill yesterday. He died in hospital. Doctors said Faiz died of cerebral hemorrhage.

His family however accused the Mumbai police and ATS officials claiming foul play in his death.

Police, but denied that they tortured him, admitted Faiz do not feel good when they brought him for questioning. They said he suffered from high blood pressure.

The body was sent for autopsy, said DCP Nisar Tamboli.

Afzal Usmani is now behind bars, the Ahmedabad blasts.

Police suspect Afzal Usmani the Indian Mujahideen operative and arrested him 2008th He is probably used by cars in 2008 serial blasts in Ahmedabad.
