Heavy anti-aircraft fire and loud explosions heard in Tripoli

Tripoli: In Libya's capital there were strong blast heard late Sunday. According to Xinhua reports that This blast as unidentified warplanes flew over the downtown as send explosions. Signals of the country’s state TV were cut off after at least four explosions jolted several districts of Tripoli at about 22.10 GMT.

On the date of 17th March, 2011 the United Nations (UN) Security Council is adopted good of resolution and no fly zone over libya, paving the way for a military operation against embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi which began two days later. The command of the operation was shifted from a US-led international coalition to NATO in late March
