Hundreds Of Ganguly Fans Wish Him On his 39th Birthday

He may have joined the International cricket in three years, but love and affection, Sourav Ganguly got his 39th birthday was enviable.

Like many of his fans gathered outside his Behala residence this morning, took the former Team India captain time off his hectic shooting schedule of regular TV programs to cut a birthday cake for photojournalists, before rushing into the studio Rajarhat.

Later in the day, Ganguly fans distributed sweets and cakes donated football kit for school children and underprivileged 10-year-old boy Sarsuna.

There were several such scenes in the streets of Kolkata. On Gariahat "Dada Force 'Facebook fan club 880 members, is scheduled to celebrate the birthday of Ganguly Rajarhat pay a visit to the studio at night.

"We have fixed a meeting with him to a private party. We will give him flowers and gifts after cutting the cake," says Sourav Bhattacharya of the club.

Ganguly also said that he published the book titled "Dadagiri Unplugged" is written by members of the group.

Vendors were also selling portraits of Ganguly and former Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu Grace, who both share his birthday.

Ganguly these days is busy shooting a quiz show popular in Bengal, where he recently hosted a Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao, producer-director. He is soon to shoot a special episode of today's Indian opener Gautam Gambhir, before leaving England to do TV commentary.
