The left-hander hit seven fours in his 54-run knock off 46 balls as Kolkata overhauled a modest 119-run target with 20 balls to spare at the D Y Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

This will mean that the winner of the game will need to up their net run rate to the point where the side can overcome the Super Kings’ net run rate. On the other hand, if Chennai win, they will have 20 points whereas Bangalore will end on 17 points, translating into the winner of the Mumbai-Kolkata game getting to 18 point and going through to the second spot.
