Jaleel White to Guest Star on 'House' Season Premiere

What horrible crime has Urkel committed!? We don't know the answer to that, but we do know that the actor who once portrayed Urkel will next be seen incarcerated alongside one Gregory House when House returns this fall. According to a report from TVLine, Jaleel White will play an inmate of the same prison where House will start out his 8th season. 

The actor, despite a television career that includes parts on The Game, Boston Legal, Psych and the seminal Mega Shark Versus Crocosaurus, is still best-known for his role as Steve Urkel on the 1990s sitcom, Family Matters. Now 34 years old, Jaleel White is a little less of a teenaged geek these days. Neither White's character's name nor his crime are known at this time. 

If we assume that Dr. House is in jail for slamming his car into Cuddy's house at the end of last season, perhaps TV's former Urkel is there for something similar? Did Laura Winslow find somebody new? Click here to watch a promo for the season 8 premiere of House. 

While Jaleel White will be a member of the general prison population, a second guest star will find himself in management. Michael Pare, an actor known for '80s fare like The Greatest American Hero and Eddie and the Cruisers, will play the prison's warden. 

 The season 8 premiere of House will be entitled "20 Vicodin." Could this be the number of pills House needs for something? It sounds a lot like the doctor's standard daily dose. Plus, the value of such pills in a prison would have to be awfully high.

The 'America's Got Talent' Semifinals Are Literally On Fire

Because The Kinetic King is performing tonight, so Nick Cannon is lowered by a ... rope? Crane? Who cares, it's not like we can understand what's going on anyway. Bring on The Kinetic King! Ahhh that picture of him when he was a kid, looking exactly the same! He promises he'll be bringing out the big sticks. Woo-hoos across America. 

Everyone had to put on their goggles in his honor. It's working! It's working SO WELL! This would only be better if Nick Cannon hadn't inserted himself into the act. "Oh yeah," The Kinetic King says. Fatally Unique has an energy that 

West Springfield Dance Team does not, and they don't have a coach, right? To strengthen the comparison, they're doing a sort of horror genre dance, too. But they're crazy Hannibal-types. Something West Springfield has not thought of. They have some more cheer-type tricks, and I think I prefer them. Will Landon Swank be the first magician to win America's Got Talent? He's bringing his dad in. And more fire? You gotta have more fire. 

Hologram Landon told the judges to choose a button linked to a box rigged with explosives. He's just hoping he'll be in the box without! His dad oversaw the process. Sure enough, he was in the box they didn't explode, and the audience gave him a standing ovation accordingly. The setup was much better than we've seen from him in the past (and other magicians). My one issue with this trick is that after the judges chose their buttons, we saw the second box swaying a little bit. It was good, though! Remember Gymkana from the YouTube show? I do! It's so hard to believe they're not professional. Well, for everyone except Piers who is SKEPTICAL OF EVERYTHING. 

They're using Zuma Zuma's stacking chairs, which didn't turn out so well for them. Piers buzzed them about halfway through, even though they hadn't even added fire yet. It was a lot of people leaping through the air, a lot. OH MY GOD and then that guy hit the flaming hoop and it was scary and a disaster not on purpose and they cut the routine short. 

Ugh, I feel so bad for them. Nobody likes the Summerwind Skippers as much as Piers. They made a mistake last time, so is someone going to catch on fire in this act, too? At least they're going post-apocalyptic and skipping to Britney! Oh but Piers buzzed them! I liked this routine, but I don't know if it's good enough for the finals. 

Piers went off on a "we're the judges so we can buzz whenever we want, this show is about us, right?" tirade, which soured the whole thing for me. It seems like Snap Boogie was a finalist last season we saw him so long ago. His clip package made one thing clear: he does not want to go back to dancing on the streets! So Snap Boogie locked and popped in what seemed to be a museum, which then caught on disco fire. Eh, it was alright. Sharon spoke too much and Howie didn't get to talk at all, which I liked. Anna Graceman takes us into the second hour, putting her own twist on "Home Sweet Home." How odd, for a little girl to slay a Motley Crue song. 

Good job, girl! The judges loved it, of course, because her enthusiasm is infectious. Even though Piers doesn't "get it," Steven Retchless is still here on the pole. Steven Retchless is intimidated/irked because some of the other acts stole his moves (like Zuma Zuma). But nobody can do what he does. Piers buzzed him about halfway through, but I don't think it was BAD.

I guess Piers still thinks this show is about the judges. This is a Vegas act, and Piers needs to get over his thinly-veiled homophobia. Smage Bros. Riding Shows put on a good show last time we saw them. I liked when they knocked their friend's hat off. This time they're bringing in Grandmother Smage!! Yes PLEASE. Their set has certainly improved from the last time, too. It had a farm theme! They jumped over Grandma, and did some more tricks, all on this very small stage. I haven't been too fond of this act in the past, but this time it was awesome. 

Another act that might not be an act: Professor Splash. This time he's adding fire, and jumping twice as high. Death-defying! But with an hour, would he just keep jumping into different things? I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. So he jumped, and it seemed like he landed low on the pool, but he's okay! The judges don't think it had the effect of landing in 12 inches of water. Okay. Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. is full of surprises. 

Or maybe just one surprise, but it's still working for him. This time he's using the dancers and props. It could all go horribly wrong at this point, when you involve the dancers and props. It never ceases to amaze me how much he sounds like Frank Sinatra. Overall, I think it went well. Even beyond the novelty, this guy is great. Last but not least, it's another one of the big contenders this season: Silhouettes. It's hard not to enjoy this act. Even though they're not using fire, they're stepping it up with different props and dimensions. Team iLuminate has some competition! It's always cool, but this time it was just stunning. I think the camera work made the translation to TV a little odd, but I would love to see this show live. The judges thought it wasn't as good as they've been before, but come on, it was still spectacular.

'The Lying Game' Recap: Best of 'Double Dibs'

In tonight's episode of The Lying Game, Emma (Alexandra Chando) gets closer to Sutton's family while Sutton (Chando again) starts uncovering some of the many secrets surrounding the twins' birth. 

Top Five Moments: 

5. Ethan and Sutton are in love...or are they?: 

Ethan (Blair Redford) is upset that Sutton left town and made the switch with Emma without telling him. Sutton is also upset that her parents found him with Emma and after learning Ethan kissed Emma, Sutton warns him to stay away from her sister and says she loves him. Ethan returns the sentiment but it seems to be forced from both parties. 

4. There's a new guy in town and he's not interested in Sutton!: Laurel (Allie Gonino) meets a cute boy and they bond over their tastes in music. Later, she sees him at school but she is not the only one. Char (Kirsten Prout) takes an instant like to the new guy, Justin, and declares that he will be hers. And this show just got another love triangle! Luckily, the triangle appears to be resolved by episode's end when Justin leaves Char's party to ask Laurel out on a date. 

3. Sutton thinks she found her birth mother: Unfortunately, when Sutton talks to Ruth Peterson, it turns out that Ruth is not the birth mom she and Emma are looking for. Ruth says she was paid to put her name on the birth certificate and she has no idea who the twins' real mother might be. Ruth also reveals that both Sutton and Emma were originally adopted by wealthy parents and it leaves Sutton wondering how Emma wound up in the foster system. 

2. Mads' dad is bad news: After last week's shenanigans, Alec (Adrian Pasdar) conceals his crime by setting Ethan up for stealing Sutton's laptop. Eventually, Emma decides to believe that she can trust Ethan and they almost kiss. Ethan stops the kiss by claiming he loves Sutton and Emma (sadly) agrees that Sutton 'has dibs'.  

1. Sutton's search finally leads somewhere: Sutton goes to visit the family who adopted Emma when they were both babies and Emma's one-time adopted dad tells Sutton that their birth mother took Emma back before the adoption was finalized. He says he could not go to the police because it was a back-channel adoption and that probably applied to Sutton's adoption, as well. At the end of the episode, the same man gives Sutton a picture of Emma and their birth mom so the girls finally have a clue as to her identity.

Laurel Brown's Best and Worst Picks of the Fall 2011 Season

With more than 30 new shows and countless returning favorites, the fall 2011 TV season is more loaded than a baked potato. BuddyTV writer Laurel Brown has looked through all of it and has chosen the three best and the three worst things about the new season. 

THE BEST Late-Start Shows Usually, September is when our favorite shows return. This year, however, things are a little different. Two of my favorites -- Bones and Chuck -- won't return to television until late October and early November. 

This is going to make September somewhat dull, but the later fall will be awesome. New Girl It's funny, it's well-made and yes, it is adorable. From the corny theme song (sung by star Zooey Deschanel) to the great supporting cast (the three male roommates are actual characters, not two-dimensional foils) to the true celebration of a dorky girl, I'm excited for everything about this show. 

Cliffhanger Resolution Among the many spring cliffhangers on TV, there were two that stood out from me: Castle and Fringe. Sure, no one thinks that Beckett's bullet wounds will leave her dead. But what about Castle's panicked declaration of love? 

Where will the go with that? And then there's Fringe. When Peter winked out of existence, shortly after having somehow saved two universes from destruction, Fringe set up one of the weirdest and best cliffhangers ever. 

Sure, we've heard that Peter will be back. But how? Where? When? Arrrrrgggghhh!!! THE WORST The Return of the Laugh Track I have nothing against traditional and multi-camera comedies -- in theory. Over the years, such shows have been the home of true greatness (from The Cosby Show to The Big Bang Theory), but I hate those laugh tracks. 

This season, a total of five new shows (Whitney, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, How to Be a Gentleman, Last Man Standing and 2 Broke Girls) will bring canned laughter into our lives. A truly good comedy has an unobtrusive laugh track that you can ignore, because you're laughing too. But when the comedy isn't perfect, the laugh track makes me want to scream. 

If you have to tell me when I need to laugh, it's not funny. The Almost-Inevitable Cancellation of Revenge Having seen the pilot episode of ABC's Revenge, I'm intrigued. The show looks to be well-acted, well-written and containing an interesting mystery I want to see solved. But it's also a serialized and odd drama lacking in huge stars. 

The chances of cancellation -- probably after just a few episodes -- are high. The X-Factor I'll admit that I'm not a fan of big singing shows. I've never understood the appeal of American Idol and only kind of got into The Voice. The X-Factor looks like more of the same. More of the same with over-the-top media coverage, that is. As far as the promos seem to be concerned, nothing else will ever be on FOX ever again. It's too much, and I already don't care.

'Dancing with the Stars' Casting: Who Can You Believe?

Another rumor has surfaced about season 13 casting for Dancing with the Stars. Sources at the show have hinted that Elisabetta Canalis, an Italian model much better-known for being George Clooney's ex-girlfriend, will make her dancing debut this fall. Meanwhile, the subjects of previous rumors have started to deny everything. 

Who do we believe? Obviously the reasonable, sensible solution is just to wait until August 29, when the new Dancing with the Stars cast will be announced during that night's episode of Bachelor Pad. But where's the fun in that? Thus, we speculate and report just about every rumor that comes our way. This latest casting report comes from E! 

Online, which of course has no confirmation of the story. What kind of confirmation could we expect, after all? ABC isn't going to say anything, Dancing with the Stars has a vested interest in keeping mum until the official announcement day and the stars themselves aren't really supposed to talk. No Dancing for Some Stars? Alas, the rumor mill seems to spout out a bunch of misses here and there. 

Perhaps the genesis of certain rumors were just wishful thinking, but apparently previously announced celebrity contestants Queen Latifah and Snooki are claiming to not be signed for Dancing with the Stars in the fall. Queen Latifah let down fans (and those of us who were excited at the prospect of an awesome, talented actual star on the show) on August 15 on Twitter, saying, "No truth to the rumors of me doing Dancing With The Stars. 

Love the show though so I'll be watching just like you!" Snooki followed Queen Latifah's lead and also made her negative announcement on Twitter, on August 16. The Jersey Shore star's letdown read: "I love watching Dancing with the Stars but I am not apart of the cast ! Sorry Tweedos" Are they telling the truth on Twitter? Or is this some elaborate ruse to keep the public guessing until it's actually time to make the announcement. While I lean toward the former, sadder possibility, I wouldn't be totally shocked if either woman showed up in the DWTS group on August 29. Or maybe that is still my wishful thinking hoping for cooler stars than George Clooney's ex and the boy Kardashian?

'Big Brother 13' Spoilers: A New Twist with Pandora's Box

The Big Brother 13 producers are desperate to keep the two remaining veterans in the game. That's the only conceivable explanation for the big twist from today when the first Pandora's Box of the season came into play.  

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 13 spoilers. Porsche is the HoH and opened Pandora's Box. As a result, this week will be played with duos just like the start of the season. In addition, it sounds like Porsche got $5,000 for her troubles. 

 So now Rachel and Jordan are a team, Porsche and Kalia are a team, and Adam and Shelly are a team. Porsche then nominated Rachel and Jordan. So what does this mean? Like the first three weeks, if the nominees win the veto, they save themselves as a pair and Porsche will be forced to nominate the only remaining pair, Adam and Shelly. 

 This is obviously some hardcore B.S. designed for the sole purpose of making sure Rachel and Jordan have a shot of both staying in the house this week. I sometimes joke about Big Brother conspiracy theories, but this one is very obvious, even for them. Production is messing with the outcome and actively helping Rachel and Jordan. If they don't make it to the finale, they have no one but themselves to blame because between this and Brendon getting to come back, the producers have done everything they possibly can to make sure a veteran wins. So now all Rachel and Jordan need to do is beat two opponents and they are not only both in the final five, but they also control the week's vote. 

I guess Big Brother producers don't like the newbies and are trying their hardest to screw them over. I can only hope that Porsche and Kalia step it up again and win to avoid the catastrophe of having both Rachel and Jordan survive this week. 

Of course the veto competition will be designed for Rachel and Jordan to win, so it will likely involve excessive alcohol consumption and stupidity. On the bright side, the twist hopefully means Rachel and Jordan will stop crying and being miserable, because that makes for some insanely boring viewing.

'Royal Pains' and 'Necessary Roughness' Preview: Secrets and Memories

'So You Think You Can Dance' Recap: The Finalists Dance

Competition and the elimination of 16 dancers, after more than two months, only four remain in the dance so you think you can dance season 8 finale. Marko Germar, Melanie Moore, Sasha Mallory and Tadd Gadduang all have a shot at the title of America's favorite dancer. 

And dance tonight will help decide which contestant will win. Who will it? We have a better idea after we see what they have got us to the show tonight. Click here to view our Pre-end predictions. Guests this week? 

Been the case for the past several weeks, both All-Stars will be the guest on the show and judges. Planning for the reviled) and Katie Holmes: (tabloid goddess in her life at some point apparently is some sort of dance experience). There will be four all-stars. 

Mark Kanemura (4 seasons), Joshua Allen (4 seasons), Lauren Froderman (7 seasons) and Robert Roldan (7 seasons) for the current season in the final glory dancing on hand to help. So let's get to it! They get an awful lot of awards they win. If you think you can dance all thought would be more than just mention this once. But you'd be wrong. I think Nigel has a haircut. 

Awww ... Melanie and Mark are together again. Marko and Melanie They Doriana Sanchez disco (!) Is found with It certainly is a fast dance. Is it possible without a man wearing a white pants suit, disco dancing? I doubt it. It's great fun, although I have my standard disco facing the problem: I do not know what I'm looking for. It is great or just OK? Have no clue. There are a lot of crazy lifts and spins. Marko the end pointing in the wrong ... Nigel: "I thought, was a little bit of a struggle." Mary: "I love you both, but I'll be honest ... it really needs to pop up another level." Kenny: "

You like people jumping out of the screen you just saw Saturday Night Fever." Katie: "You guys are just so strong and beautiful." "I believe that you are telling the story." Sasha and Mark Kanemura They are a contemporary dance by Sonya Tayeh. It's one of those jerky, emotional dance of love to the judges, but I have trouble connecting. Fortunately, the pace a bit after a minute. Dancing is definitely good, though I can not say that I really like it. 

And I'm not sure what, other than sheer aggression, the subject of dance. Sonya Tayeh said the dance was an ode to Sasha, and it kind of looks like someone just took his theories about dance and set to music. Nigel: "You know Lady Gaga principal dancer just beat you?" "You just have to throw down the field to the other dancers tonight." "! I have to say, woo - hoo" Mary "Two people could not look better than the two of you there." Kenny: "I know a little of life imitating art there tonight" "For me, it was like Sasha Warrior Princess." Katie: "It is quite powerful." "I love everything about it." 

Tadd and Joshua Allen He is hip-hop, with Lil C. Tadd hip hop should be a good one. Especially this kind of hip hop. Two dancers are commendable synchronicity going on there. They are, however, choose to move that the average voter would like to dance a lot of this reduction. Honestly, it really is like dancing that could easily have lost in the shuffle. Although they look completely certain things are impossible. Nigel: "In truth, it was a bit down and dirty at the knees." "I got a very sweet." Mary: "You do enough of a hard-hitting, solid style, the hip-hop production, yes, you did." "You have just given birth to everything happy tonight." Katie: "I thought that was awesome his hustling." 

Melanie and Robert Roldan Stacey Tookey is a contemporary routine. Ah, unrequited love. Choreographers would do without it? And hey! Back is beautiful! Granted, I am completely sure, that unrequited love is not and will not be any requiting. But it is beautiful and well danced. Is very emotional. Melanie is also Tadd can not do ourselves - watch you dance. Nice return of disco! Nigel: beautifully danced - I fully support lift like that. "" I think Sasha threw down the gauntlet you just picked it up and slapped him. " Mary: "Something special happens when you dance down the room is really beautiful ... you have the ability to draw people in. ..." "

You're in a class of its own." Kenny: "Melanie, I push myself to the front line to have the opportunity to work with you, my dear." Katie: "Every movement makes sense, I believe every story." Ah ... Cat Deeley dancers now working as an agent.It's hard to believe after Sasha and Melanie pulled contemporary and hip-hop is pulling Tadd. If Marko is jazz, so I refuse to believe it at random. Sasha and Marko Broadway at the time, Spencer has been choreographed by LIFF. 

 Spencer likes to tell their stories ahead of time. Broadway should have effect. They like having words. This is what happens when I go to restaurants. But I want a way to have it. Sasha just could dominate the dance. Not that Marko is not doing well. He's just not the same level of stage presence. Cool tricks with them. And both are completely reliable in their "roles." Nigel: "I do not knock out, I'm afraid." "I think you better than a warrior princess of a vamp, make Sasha." "I have seen all would have liked a little more character." Mary: "I think both of you guys pulled it." "Marko ... I first did not realize that it really was you ..." "I thought you were wonderful people just like you pulled it." 

Kenny: "WOW Great fun .. fun." "I can not believe that there is not anything." Katie: "Sasha ... I admire you and you are just amazing Marko, you are incredible." Nigel is in a bad mood tonight. Oh, hey, Melanie is still soloing! They did not lead to much. It is sad that tonight. This is followed by one Marko. This is a very athletic individual. He does not stand much of it is over. Sasha and Tadd They dance Mark Ballas - Cha - Cha's. Sasha feels like he can kill Tadd at some point in the dance. Sex with him or her. I say that I ever have a cha - cha will recognize this as not, but it's pretty darn good. If there is a flaw, it's Sasha dancing out Tadd, both because their skills and insist on it because it's like choreography. Tadd may take, but Sasha dance. Nigel: "Marko ... just you, apparently, not everyone could cope with this style." "Sasha, it's not good for you." "The number of the big problems right now Lot." Kenny: "I think it was very ambitious for tonight." Katie: "I just want to thank both of you, because you are both strong dancers" Hmmm ... Best dance ever movie quote, 

"I thought that was good." Marko and Lauren Froderman Tessandra Chavez is one of the dance. This is music? Interesting move, even if the music is funny. Now the stage is a lot of hurting. No one may be dying, there is so much pain. It is very beautiful though. It is an appreciation for masochists like the choreographers, the way they want to see a beautiful thing we ache. This dance is a moment that is not quite connect, but I'm not going to blame the dancers. Nigel: "I think, just so Marko, you joined in tonight's finale because he was a great performance." Mary: "You insist on its own greatness, Marko you just can not help it." "It was just so beautiful in your honest communication dance ..." 

Kenny: "Marko you swept me away, you took me to another place and time." Katie: "You made so many pictures that were just amazing." Tadd single now! Of course, dangling from the stage starts. And then spend more income than the rest of dancing on his hands. Or back. Viewers watch out! Tadd and Melanie Ray Leeper is a dance. Woo - hoo! Stripping! And shoe-throwing! Although this means that half the Melanie shoed need to dance to dance. 

I say fight I do believe that this is going on in dance. Nice to Tadd and Melanie are not here. And Tadd is in his underwear. He sure is. Now I'm giggling like. Nigel: "That evening I just brought it to life!" "You cover yourself up, young man can not?" "Melanie ... You had a character well before you started dancing." "Tadd, you totally redeemed yourself on that routine." Mary: "Well Tadd, you brought sexy back to make sure I'm just not sure about the socks," "Holy smokes, girl. When we ask you to strut, that's exactly what you will give! " Kenny: "Melanie started earlier, he was already gripped me on the stage." "I thought the story was adorable." Katie: "It was just such a breath of fresh air." "At the end of this number, you pull your pants down and did it ..." Finally, we get a single Sasha. 

This one is about a lot of falling. I wish I could be very low. But why Sasha is an excellent dancer. Sasha and Melanie Stacey Tookey dance a dance of repressed housewives. Repressed? Both? Of course there are picket fence included. I'm not buying that part really repressed, but breaking free is certainly in evidence. Nigel: "This country will grace any dance company." Kenny: "I felt helpless ... it made me curious." "It was a beautiful piece, beautifully executed.

" Katie: "I love your outfits!" And the night is the last dance ... Marko and Tadd Chuck Moldanado step in the gumboot routine (OK. ..) have been found. They've got pickaxes! To convince the judges give them the win? Dance is really cool. Two people is really the way I expected them are not in sync. Marko and it looks like it could be performed outside Tadd. Tadd natural style is to close after all. Fun but not the best. Nigel: "I think it was a bit difficult - tonight we were not together." "I thought that a girl will win ... and I have not changed my mind tonight." Mary: "It was full of solid gold, I loved the concept." Kenny: "Congratulations to you all and good luck last night" Katie: "You guys are great Ummm ... I love everything you have competition."

Four YouTube Acts Sail into the Semi-Finals on 'America's Got Talent'

Last night we found out that Piers does not like anything. What kind of America? It is time to explore on America's Got Talent, YouTube particular results! Hey man, I 'poppin Orville Redenbacher section can not wait to see Gabe. 

Tonight "YouTube stars" are going with the theme, Rebecca Black (Please "Friday" and "My Moment" or whatever the performance of her new song. Step Up to the first mega - groups Gymkana and I Powerhouse I hope it is. performance Gymkana, but Powerhouse should be wrangled a lot of votes, depending on the size and sway alone Piers thought the two acts will go through, but I feel like he's exactly what we We do not like to vote. Gymakana to move on the semi-finals.

I'm not sure I understand Keenan Cahill event, but he performed on the show anyway. Dancers! And Nick Cannon. Ah. Then performed in a glass table top right to get the body suit. It was great! Matt Wilhelm, TNC, affluent, and Eon is the next step. 

It's probably Matt Wilhelm would take after the Native Americans. I love the glow in the dark guts to wear that suit again for no reason. Matt Wilhelm will ride through the dark the other day, even though we could barely see him last night. Oh, Rebecca Black is a mash-up singing two songs. We "Friday" and "Friday" only do! You go, girl. Take all the seats! After 45 seconds, Kalani Freestyle Basketball, Brett Daniels, Kevin Colis, and Breena Bell go on stage. Hmm. 

I think it could be Kevin Colis, but I would like the bulldogs to win it all. I'm getting good at this show, guys! Kevin Colis is through the next round. Good job, Kevin! Serves the rest of West Springfield Dance Party, Beth Ann Robinson, and my Dawg / / boy dog, Gabe's Rocks! First, though, and above it, a legitimate talent show "hand." It is a good night. 

I just wish I had some popcorn ... NOOOOOOOOOOOO Gabe Rocks is eliminated immediately. The decision to emphasize the audience boos. I do not care about the show now, the results of this bullsh * t! If so, the teenage dancer vs teen dancers. Piers of course vote for Beth. West Springfield Sharon votes for dance team. 

Howie says the dance this year, Beth Ann Robinson then proceed to select a team of dancers have disappointed. But wait, there's more! Sharon Wild West Springfield to show the card to bring back the dance party! Drama. In addition, we at Wild Card Landon Swank, Kinetic King, Summerwind captain, Charles Peachock, Yellow Design Stunt Team, J. Chris Newburg, those strange little people, Seth Grabel, Fiddleheads, and Avery and calico heart will see next week! I missed one of the functions. It was either Thomas John or SH'Boss boys. I'm a little surprised by some of the acts they brought back, but I'm glad to get another chance Kinetic King!

Syfy to Cancel 'Eureka' After Season 5

First Syfy said that Eureka would end following a brief season 6. Then they said that more episodes were likely to come for that sixth season. Now? According to a statement released by Syfy, Eureka will end following next year's season 5. Got all that? 

As we reported last week, Syfy had at least tentatively ordered six episodes that would comprise a season 6 for the show. These would be in addition to the 13 episodes (12 episodes plus a special Christmas episode) already set and in production for season 5. The newest statement indicates that those six Eureka episodes are no more. 

The series will instead end at the end of season 5. The statement released by Syfy (and quoted on EW.com) says: After painstaking consideration, we have had to make the difficult business decision to not order a season six of Eureka. But Eureka is not over yet. There is a new holiday episode this December and 12 stellar episodes set to debut next year, marking its fifth season and six memorable years on Syfy. The 2012 episodes are some of the best we've seen, and will bring this great series to a satisfying end. 

We are very grateful to Bruce Miller and Jaime Paglia, their team of incredible writers, and an amazing cast and crew who have consistently delivered a series we continue to be very proud of. We thank the fans for their support of this show and know they will enjoy its final season in 2012. That's not much in the way of information, when it comes down to it. 

Considering that Eureka has managed to maintain decent ratings throughout its run, and considering that the show is Syfy's longest-running scripted series, one can only guess that something went wrong in negotiations between the network and the show's producers. Unfortunately, we don't have a town full of geniuses on hand to figure all of this out. 

Season 4 of Eureka airs on Syfy through September 19 on Monday nights at 8pm. Season 5 will most likely air during the summer of 2012. Are you surprised by the cancellation of Eureka? Why do you think Syfy canceled it? Share your comments and opinions below!

'Take the Money and Run' Review: Fake and Fun Crime in Miami

Take the Money and Run is back for a second week of crime-committing fun. We've already seen crime foiled on this hide-the-briefcase show, so is it now time to see crime pay off? I kind of hope so. First of all, a disclaimer for those people who feel that airing a reality show that encourages law-abiding citizens to think like criminal masterminds: There are no crimes actually committed on Take the Money and Run. Instead, two people are handed a briefcase "worth $100,000" (no one ever says the money is inside), and they hide it. That's all. No bank robberies. 

No violence. Just a weird hide-and-seek game. And it's really kind of a fun game. The criminals in week 2 are a lovely (for the most part) married couple named Jimmy and Zuleyda Pumariega. They have kids (It's for the kids!"). They have a house. 

They have sad stories about sick relatives. Basically, they have to win. It helps that, in the second episode of Take the Money and Run, the cops aren't particularly endearing. Yes, they have monetary needs too (who doesn't?), but they're not as cute and cuddly as the Pumariegass. 

You know, unless you define bad Joe Pesci-knock off cops as cute and cuddly. I'm sure Detectives Joe Shillaci and Al Vila are lovely people with fine detecting skills. But I don't want them to win this one. Check out the video below to see how the criminals do at hiding their suitcase full of money: Some observations two episodes into the Take the Money and Run season: Traffic lights are an annoyance when committing crime. 

"Keep it simple" seems to be more of a goal than "Throw off the cops" for the contestants. Somewhere in the secret rules they tell the contestants but not the audiences must be the clause that says both partners need to stay together. That, or they only pick people so joined at the hip that they never think to split up and hide the loot. There's always, always a boss. 

Will the Pumariegass get away with it? There's no way I'd spoil such things, but keep an eye out for the following highlights: People really don't like to keep quiet when being interrogated. The Dade County jail is much nicer than last week's dungeon. Interrogators puff well. They don't actually have the right to remain silent on this show. 

Which probably isn't totally true, but whatever. They get toothpaste in prison. "When you have 60 minutes to hide $100,000, there's no time for small talk." Take the Money and Run remains fun in the second week -- especially with "criminals" who have some ability to be deceptive. I do kind of wonder how the detectives are "earning" their chance at the money, since most of the clues come from the interrogations. Also, there really needs to be further clarification of the rules. Can the criminals just keep silent? 

What rights do the criminals have in prison? Can they separate? Does the briefcase need to stay manacled to one criminal until it's hidden? Hopefully these frustrations will ease before the fun of the chase recedes. Until then, however, Take the Money and Run keeps up its wish-fulfilling good time.

Ekta Kapoor has been detained at Mumbai airport

TV serial and film producer Ekta Kapoor Mumbai International Airport on Sunday night, was taken into custody on charges of tax evasion.

Custom duty, officials said unity was taken into custody at the time when he landed at Mumbai airport from Bangkok and was going through the green channel. The official said, "They have found some stuff for which he had not paid customs duty."

The official said the items disclosed in the unity is likely to be a fine of forty thousand rupees. However, he refused to give details about the price of goods.

Jack Vidgen wins Australia’s Got Talent

"Australia's Got Talent" Champion Jack Vidgen a record deal with music giant Sony after the inking of the world is set for stardom.
