BMW launches BMW X3 in India @ Rs 41.2 lakh

BMW’s latest in a line of X-series models, the new X3 has finally made it to Indian shores. Priced at Rs 41.2 lakh for the xDrive20d and Rs 47.9 lakh, ex-showroom, India, the new X3 replaces the previous model that was offered as the xDrive20d and xDrive25i.

The new X3, unlike the previous generation is assembled here in India. Larger on the outside and inside, the new X3 comes with features like a panoramic sunroof and Start-Stop as standard. Like the other BMW models, the new X3 has three suspension settings – Normal, Sport and Sport+. It also comes with Hill Start and Hill Descent as standard.



The BMW X3 will be available in both petrol and diesel engine variants. The petrol variants would be backed by a 3.0 litre motor, allowing the engine to generate 306 bhp of maximum power and 400 Nm of maximum torque.

On the other hand, diesel variants are more versatile with options on kind of power and torque being present. It features a 2.0 litre motor, managing to produce 184 bhp of maximum power and 380 Nm of maximum torque and also 3.0 litre motor attaining 258 bhp of maximum power and 560 Nm of maximum torque.



Concerns regarding the safety of the driver are met with great precision and research. BMW possesses its personal protection features which consists of Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Automatic Differential Brake (ADB-X) and Hill Descent Control. The BMW X series is not akin when it comes to torque delivery and provides a difference between the delivery to front and rear axles. The control of the car is driver’s puppet will provide accurate handling along with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) and electronic power steering (EPS).

The expected price in the market is between the range of 38 lac to Rs 44 lac. So, the gem like BMW is here in India and all prepared to roll-out its blue-eyed car the near future with X3, naturally making it feel more confident and stable.
