India: Yesterday there were a held the fourth annual BCCI Awards ceremony. This whole ceremony was taken place at the Sea side Lawns, Taj Land’s End, Bandra, Mumbai. The highlight of the ceremony will be the felicitation of the Indian team that won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. There were also secound presentation of Mr. C.K. Nayudu who is got Lifetime Achievement Award. The recipient of the same will be announced on 27 May 2011. The winner will receive a trophy and cheque for Rs. 15 lakhs.
Sachin Tendulkar and former all-rounder Salim Durrani bagged top honours, while the World Cup winning Indian team led by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was felicitated by the BCCI at its annual awards function on Tuesday. Members of the World Cup winning Indian team were felicitated and presented cheques worth Rs two crore each by BCCI president Shashank Manohar and BCCI secretary N Srinivasan.
Sachin Tendulakar is very happy for his performance in international cricket. The top performers in international, domestic and age-group cricket tournaments, in the 2009-10 (1 October 2009 to 30 September 2010) season, will be rewarded at the function. On the occasion, Dhoni thanked fans for supporting the team and said that winning the coveted trophy after 28 long years was a proud moment. "I thank all of you for the support we got throughout the World Cup. Hundred crore people supported us in the country as well as outside. It was a great moment for us."
